Slim Line

Smart Conveyors for plastic part handling: Quick installation and versatility.

A profitable, efficient and highly flexible solution for part handling in a variety of applications with optional accessories available to cover specific client needs.

The TEC Slim Line Smart Conveyor offers the following:

Communication with peripheral equipment:

The conveyor can be easily connected to other equipment, including injection molding machines and robots.

The conveyor can communicate with equipment to know when it is available to receive parts and control the part flow efficiently. The conveyor can also be controlled by the equipment, operating as a slave to the peripheral equipment.

The conveyor can connect to additional equipment, besides the process origin equipment; such as inspection systems, assembly machines, packaging machines, palletizing robots, etc.

If the conveyor is meant to be used as part of a complete automatic process, any equipment that is required at the end of the conveyor can be connected to it.

Different operation modes for a single conveyor:

The conveyor can operate any of the following functions or operation modes:

  1. Continuous Mode: Unloading parts in a continuous manner, from the beginning of the conveyor until the end; unloading into a box or onto a work station.
  2. Evacuation Mode: Conveying parts from the reception point to the opposite end of the conveyor, the movement is controlled by a sensor at the end of the conveyor that prevents the parts from falling off the end.
  3. Accumulation Mode: The conveyor can be adjusted to “index”, allowing a maximization of unloading space usage and part cooling. This function can be operated by a sensor, or by robot communication.
  4. Stacking: The conveyor can be used to stack parts through robot communication.
  5. Intermediate Work: Adding a sensor within the length of the conveyor it can be programed to add a work station on it; such as: visual inspection, manual sub assembly, or an automated process that requires the conveyor to stop for execution.

Additional Accessories:

The conveyor can be integrated with accessories that allow an extra part process; such as: simple pneumatic systems, inspection systems, low and medium speed rejections, simple orienting or turning systems, etc. All extra accessories can be designed according to client specific requirements and easily integrated into the conveyor and program without increasing the conveyor automation cost.
